Description:

Come have some fun making a bag. You will be choosing a “Scrap Bag”, coordinating fabrics and creating a bag!

You Need:

• Best of Quilted Bags by Leisure Arts Book

Fabrics: (to be purchased at Treasure Chest Quilting)

• “Scrap Bag” for bag body and handle

• 3/8 yd of Fabric #1 for top band

• 1/8 yd. of Fabric #2 for accent strip

• 12 x 12 square of Fabric #3 for circle

• 5 x 10 piece of Fabric #5 for letter appliques

• 1 ½ yd of Fabric #6 for lining and inside pockets

• 2 yds single sided fusible fleece (The Warm Company Warm Fleece or Pellon #987F)

• Paper backed fusible web

• stabilizer

• Water-soluble marking pen

Additional Supplies:

• Sewing machine in top working order with power cord and foot pedal

• New 70 needle

• ¼” foot for your machine

• Thread

• Small scissors

• Rotary cutter with new blade

• Small ruler (6.5” x 12.5”)

• Small iron & wool pressing mat or pressing surface

• Acorn starch spray and pen

• Other sewing supplies (seam ripper, marking tools, etc.)

• Purchase supplies
